A 38 year old, independent consultant in entrepreneurship, marketing, sales and staffing working predominantly with mid- and corporate companies but also the occasional startup. Owner of several online businesses.

Personally, I am mother to a 15 year old daughter, passionate outdoor sport practitioner with a strong interest in psychology, philosophy and tech.

Why I started the Career Store

The story behind The Career Store originates from over 15 years ago.
I was 21 and pregnant with my daughter. When I learned I was pregnant I developed a clear vision of who I wanted to be as a parent to my daughter.

I wanted to show her that life is like a ship full of adventures, opportunities and chances. The only thing you need to do is to make the conscious decision to board that ship, create adventures, open given opportunities like presents but moreover create, see and grasp possibilities. Whether or not you are an easy learner, fit into the system or not,
E-VER-Y-THING is possible.

I felt the urgency to teach her to at least try to be independent, direct her own path, think her own mind and live her own actions. To open her mind for new experience, the unknown and to always learn, grow and accept differences. After the birth of my daughter I soon learned how hard it was to anchor my vision into my personal life so I could lead by example and guide her along the way.

Big part of the execution was to always keep learning and expand my mind. In terms of hard skills, soft skills but also as a person emotionally and mentally. Money and time were tight; I was a young, fulltime working, single mom with high pride, ambition and perseverance. But figuring out a way to combine all the before with a daily dose of 4 hours commuting, being a caring, emotional available mom, good friend to my social circle, me-time, staying in shape, financial responsibilities and household chores...

Combining your ambition to grow with a personal life and professional obligations can be very demanding both emotionally and financially. Support from family, friends, partners, employers or government certainly helps but will not be an option or solution for everybody.

It all lead to the desire to one day, create a platform that would support the need for continuous development in a variety of territories in a practical, affordable and accessible environment. And now finally I can introduce The Career Store!

She’s not here to replace real connection, but to tell the story of The Career Store and to make learning and self-growth easier to access for anyone, anywhere.
